Navajo flute player Andrew Thomas in rehearsal before performance for President of PakistanInternational Cultural Marketing Workshop

Presented as the lead component of a five (5) day consultancy package.

This two-and-one-half (2 1/2) day Workshop is primarily targeted at Indigenous performing arts practitioners, performers and companies (music, theatre, opera, dance, storytelling - both traditional and contemporary). It can be presented with specific streams that address the needs and interests of visual artists and craftspeople, writers and self publishers as well as multimedia artists.

Participants should be professional in their outlook and aspirations with a demonstrated commitment to their art. Ideally they should have a broad base of local and regional touring and presentation experiences, although this is not essential.

The Workshop is also suitable for arts and cultural organizations and festival organizers who would be considering hosting international Indigenous guests or developing international market opportunities within their home state or region. People working in local, regional and national arts and economic development agencies (government and NGOs) will also benefit from participating with local artists and arts workers in the Workshop. All participants will be required to complete a pre-Workshop questionnaire to assist the Presenters to most effectively target the Workshop.

The workshop is jointly presented by Gordon Bronitsky, Tony Duke and a guest presenter who is a director of an international arts festival or cultural organization (dependent on timing and availability).

The Workshop will be interactive and provide time for questions and discussions generated by participants. The Workshop will feature large group and small group work with hands on exercises for individuals and small groups. The Workshop format can be expanded into a full conference.
